| Аннотация: | Inbreeding depression is commonly considered an evolutionary influence on pre-copulatory mechanisms of inbreeding avoidance. Inbreeding may be minimized by: (1) delayed maturation and reproduction, (2) sex-biased dispersal, (3) behavioural avoidance of mating with relatives, and/or (4) mating by females with multiple males (polyandry). Time constraints on reproduction and limited opportunities for outbred matings may limit mate choice, forcing females to mate with relatives and favouring multiple paternity to reduce the costs of inbred matings. Using parentage, relatedness, and spatial genetic analyses, we studied genetic mating system, dispersal and inbreeding patterns in a wild partially isolated colony of the yellow ground squirrels (Spermophilus fulvus), fast-living hibernators. Females were phylopatric, while males dispersed within the colony. Nevertheless, male-biased dispersal could not completely separate closely related males and females, and the potential risk of inbreeding was high, in particular due to early maturation of males — some of them matured before dispersal. Females did not mate assortatively with respect to relatedness of males, mating both with close kin and non-kin, and 38% of sire-mother pairs were closely related (coefficient of relatedness > 0.125). Multiple paternity was common (56% of all litters), and multiply sired litters combined offspring from inbred and outbred matings. Parents of singly sired litters were mostly unrelated. The overall level of inbreeding was low. We conclude that, under strong time constraints on reproduction and mate choice, females do not mate selectively with unrelated males. However, multiple paternity dilutes inbred matings effectively enough to maintain the overall low level of inbreeding. | |

| Аннотация: | Relevance and objectives. Compression cuffs are widely used in tonometry. Along with creating excess pressure, they are able to form oscillations used to determine blood pressure values. The process of converting arterial pulse waves into oscillations depends on the anatomical features of the tissues under the cuff. Their mass characteristics help smooth out the frequency components of the oscillations perceived by the pressure sensor. The article is devoted to determining the amplitude-frequency characteristics of the pulse waves formed by the hydrocuff during decompression. It has been established that the high sensitivity of the hydrocuff tonometer makes it possible to detect and isolate high-frequency spectral characteristics in the signals of the hydrocuff pressure sensor. This allows, when implementing identification procedures, to obtain transfer functions that take into account the anatomical features of patients.It is proposed to use the hydrocuff technology for the process of oscillation formation. The study of the signals taken from the pressure sensor was performed on the basis of the analysis of the amplitude-frequency characteristics of the oscillations obtained during decompression and the passage of pulse waves through the walls of the brachial artery, musculoskeletal tissues of the shoulder, and the cuff to the pressure sensor. During the research, it was found that the oscillations contain a high-frequency signal spectrum in the range from 100 to 400 Hz. When using liquid as a working medium, transmission coefficient of the frequency spectrum increases by 17 times. At the same time, the phase distortion coefficient decreases by 4 times. | |

| Аннотация: | When performing addition or subtraction in the floating point format, the sticky bit is used in some rounding modes. To generate the sticky bit, the multiple-input OR gate is required. If addition or subtraction is implemented in FPGA, the sticky bit generation can slow down the work of the adder. This paper proposes the sticky bit generators based on FPGA carry-chains. The proposed generators are intended for those adders which work with normalized numbers of single and double precision (according to IEEE 754 standard). The specific feature of the generators is that they work simultaneously but are not integrated with shifters involved in the alignment of the summands. This paper assesses resource utilization and performance of the proposed sticky bit generators; evaluates the contributions to the sticky bit generation delay of FPGA logic elements and routing resources used in the generators’ circuits. | |

| Аннотация: | The inheritance of the size, color, and bioacoustic characteristics of russet (Spermophilus major), yellow (S. fulvus), and speckled (S. suslicus) ground squirrels in hybrids differing in their genetic status was studied. In a hybrid population of russet and yellow ground squirrels, ten individuals of S. major, ten individuals of S. fulvus, and 40 hybrids of S. major × S. fulvus were analyzed; in a hybrid population of russet and speckled ground squirrels, eleven individuals of S. major, eleven individuals of S. suslicus, and 24 hybrids of S. major × S. suslicus were analyzed. Hybrid individuals that are different in genetic status have been shown to demonstrate differentiation in the vector space of the variability range of the parental species. At the same time, both a shift in some categories of hybrids towards one of the hybridizing species and a significant deviation are noted. The results indicate an increase in the level of variability in size, color, and bioacoustic characters in hybrid populations associated with the erosion of the divergent hiatus of specific features of the parental forms due to the formation of a differentiated hybrid population. As hybrid individuals with different combinations of parental traits accumulate in the population, the situation arises in which a sufficient number of hybrids with an overall combination of parental traits (Hcomb) appear in this population. Such hybrid individualshave different combinations of species-specific markers in the homozygous state in their genotypes. In the hybrid population of the russet and yellow ground squirrels, the proportion of such hybrids, according to our data, is 22.5% (n = 40), and in the hybrid population of the russet and speckled ground squirrels, it is 12.5% (n = 24). This category of hybrid individuals can be considered as possible material for further microevolutionary events and the process of speciation. | |
