| Аннотация: | The concept of «vestigial Neolithic» was presented by A.T. Sinuk in his thesis (1971) and did not undergo any significant changes further. It was based on statistical and stratigraphic observations on the settlement of Universitetskaya 3. Three Neolithic stages and the fourth stage of «vestigial Neolithic» were distinguished here.Its beginning was connected with the ppearance of thepopulation of the Lower Don Eneolithic culture, which came into contact with the tribes of Rybnoozerskaya culture. The conclusions were based on the assumption that the economy of Rybnoozerskaya culture was appropriating and the economy of the Lower Don culture was producing. The possibility of their coexistence was explained by the rich cological resources of the forest-steppe of the Don River. New materials have not confirmed with the Eneolithic nature of the Lower Don culture. The beginning of the Eneolithic in the middle Don should be associated with the Sredniy Stog culture, the population of which displaced or was assimilated. Period of coexistence of Eneolithic and Neolithic (vestigial) culture cannot be identified. | |
